Navajo horsehair pottery is created by applying actual horsehair to the finished pottery piece. Immediately after the prepared ceramic clay pot has been fired, a thin layer of horsehair is evenly spread over the top of the pottery. Precise temperatures are required to allow the horsehair to properly burn onto the pottery, creating the unique marble effect. The horsehair pottery is then wiped with a matte glaze finish. Each of these Navajo horsehair pots are one of a kind.

The horse is highly regarded in many cultures, representing the essence of stamina, agility, beauty and strength. This Native American pottery is made with those values in mind. These pottery pieces are authentic, genuine works of fine Native American Navajo art and are light-sensitive and not food-safe.

Explore the beauty of the Navajo Horsehair White Clay Dreamcatcher Pot by acclaimed Native American artist Billy Dennison. This authentic, hand-crafted white clay pot showcases iridescent hand-painting and intricate Navajo designs etched into its surface. A standout feature is the woven dreamcatcher embedded in a cutout on the side of the pot, blending cultural symbolism with exceptional artistry. As a unique piece of Native American art, this pot elegantly combines traditional craftsmanship with a captivating design, making it a distinguished addition to any collection or decor.
