Mr. Fairman hand throws each pottery piece from either porcelain or white stoneware clay on a potter‘s wheel.
His pottery is renowned for its signature colors and hues created by adding minerals such as platinum, titanium, and gold. These additional minerals give each piece its beautiful appearance, a technique that has been perfected by only a few master potters. Every one of Bruce Fairman‘s handmade pottery pieces is designed to capture its simplicity and elegance while showcasing his unique glazing style.
These stunning works of art are truly one–of–a–kind and highly prized by their owners. In addition to being a successful businessman and entrepreneur, Bruce is also a philanthropist and works with the Khmer Artisan Project in Cambodia, teaching aspiring potters how to earn a living with their craft.
He is a graduate of Sacramento State University in Studio Art and is one of the chief designers for Doris Designs. Each hand–crafted pottery piece is unique and the size and glazing pattern may vary slightly.
